The new Prime Minister of Britain: We face an economic crisis and we need unity

News from Al-Madinah: The United Kingdom is experiencing a severe economic crisis that calls for cooperation and togetherness, according to Rishi Sonak, the new British Prime Minister.
He said in his first statement after his choice of his new position, “I pledge to serve integrity and humility,” adding, “We need to keep the Conservative Party united as well as Britain.

Additionally, he said that cooperation and unity are key to maintaining stability in Britain and that “the gathering of the party and the country will be my maximum concern.”
Shortly before that, he stressed in a speech to the Conservative Party members earlier today, that the selection of ministers will not be dependent on the names but rather the approach, indicating that it will focus on policies, not personalities.

Additionally, he added: “All party wings will be represented in the administration,” saying, “We have one opportunity to reform and restore our unity.”
He emphasised that his government’s first objective is achieving economic stability.
Today, the British Conservative Party was elected Rishi Sonak as its president and will thus become the new prime minister after his rival Benny Mordant failed to secure the 100 necessary votes to support her nomination by her colleagues.

As a result, Rishi Sonak was chosen as the party’s leader, according to the Conservative Party.

While his rival Moundant did not reap only 26 public supporters, much less than 100 parliamentary members, which led her to withdraw.

Sonak, 42, who had a remarkable university and professional biography, had the support of most of his party’s deputies, as more than 180 deputies supported him, which is slightly more than half of the party members in Parliament, after he officially announced yesterday, his candidacy for the sake of ” Reforming the economy, uniting the party and providing assistance to the country, “as he put it.
This is the first time an immigrant politician has led the government of the nation.

Sonac, who was born in Southampton in 1980, comes from a Hajar family that emigrated to East Africa from Punjab in western India. Then, in the 1960s, his parents relocated to England.
Sonak studied in prestigious British universities, starting with the prestigious “Winchister College”, after which he enrolled at the University of “Oxford”..
