According to sources close to Benie Mordont, the Speaker of the British House of Commons turned down a plea from former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson to drop out of the campaign for the leadership of the Conservative Party to succeed Liz Terrace.
The Independent newspaper reported that, although it is considered the least likely to reach the necessary minimum, which is 100 nominations from the Conservative Party members in Parliament to enter it on Monday’s polling, that it has so far obtained 25 years of public announcement, Mourtun has pledged to stay in the race.
