Saudi Foreign Minister: The Kingdom has a pioneering role in combating terrorism

Today, Monday, the Saudi Foreign Minister reaffirmed that his country plays a key role in battling terrorism.
In a speech at the Dakar & Peace Forum in Senegal, Prince Faisal bin Farhan declared, “We support all efforts to confront terrorism and destroy it from its roots.”
He also mentioned how the world economy and international shipping lanes are both threatened by terrorism.
Bin Farhan further emphasised that the Kingdom supports multilateral efforts at the global level to promote justice.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia encourages peaceful dispute settlement and full economic development.
He also emphasised the importance of supply chain security and global food security, stressing the desire of the Kingdom to strengthen ties with Senegal.
Notably, the eighth session of the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Peace in Africa is taking place today with the participation of the 30 most nations.

With the theme “Africa in the face of external shocks: the challenges of security and stability,” the Dakar Forum is hosting this session. Notable participants from outside of the African continent include Turkey, Japan, Saudi Arabia, France, and the United States, as well as the United Nations and the European Union.

This version is being put together at a time when the African continent is facing more difficulties that threaten its security, independence, and stability, most notably the military takeovers that occurred in several West African countries and the Russian-Ukrainian war, which highlighted how closely connected the continent is to the rest of the world and how dependent it is on its food sovereignty.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister says his country has taken the lead in battling terrorism.
