Pele on his 82nd birthday: I am in good health

Pele, a legendary player in Brazilian football, celebrated turning 82 on Sunday and said he was happy to be alive, despite having health issues in recent years.

The only winner of the World Cup 3 times (1958, 1962 and 1970), who was born on October 23, 1940, said in a video tape he posted through his account on “Instagram” in which he looked sitting and his hair is black: My friends in Brazil and in the whole world, I am happy, very happy to be with you and that God has given me health until I thank you all for what I got.
The former striker for the “Silicao” national team, who has 77 goals in 92 games, added: “82 years of God.”

I hope that we will be friends for a very long time—perhaps even another 82 years, God willing.
Pele, whose true name is Edison Arants de Nassimanto, has recently struggled with health issues despite being widely regarded as the best player in the history of round football. Between August and September 2021, he was transferred to the hospital in Sao Paulo to remove colon tumor.

Additionally, according to his family and the medical professionals who care for him, his health is stable and he must frequently visit the hospital to receive chemotherapy treatments as prescribed by his treatment plan.
The “monarch,” who made no mention of the illness in his video, has hip and kidney issues, which limit his mobility and force him to use a wheelchair or a walking aid.
Pele is still active on social media despite having significantly limited his purification in public areas.

On the occasion of “King” Pele’s birthday, numerous Brazilian football players, including Ronaldinho, Neymar, Ronaldo, and Rivaldo, took part.

On his 82nd birthday, Pele stated, “I am in wonderful health.”
