Low fuel prices in Lebanon

A Lebanese report reported a significant decrease in fuel prices today, Monday, as the price of a gasoline plate has decreased 95 octane 58 thousand pounds, gasoline 98 octane 59 thousand pounds, diesel 71 thousand pounds and gas 35 thousand pounds.
The “National Media Agency” reports that the cost of gasoline has increased today to 699 thousand pounds for 95 octane, 715 thousand pounds for 98 octane, 845 thousand pounds for diesel, and 415 thousand pounds for gas.

George Al-Brax, a member of the Syndicate of Fuel Stations, ascribed this drop to the dollar’s declining exchange rate, which resulted in the dollar being valued in today’s schedule at 37,200 pounds rather than the previous schedule’s 40,350 pounds.
Al -Brax said, in a statement today, that “after the statement issued by the Governor of the Bank of Lebanon, Riyad Salama, in which he announced that he had stopped buying the dollar from the local market and that he will exclusively sell the dollar through a banking platform starting tomorrow, Tuesday, the exchange rate in the parallel free markets has decreased more From 3150 pounds.
