Austrian Korean cooperated in reaching development and climate goals and avoiding the repercussions of the war in Ukraine

The former United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and the head of the “Ban Ki-moon Center for the World Citizen” met with Austria’s Foreign Minister Shallburg today, Monday, in Seoul, to discuss how to achieve development and climate goals while averting decline brought on by the conflict in Ukraine.

Shalinberg, according to a statement by the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stressed the excellent cooperation between Austria and the “Ban Ki -moon Center for the global citizen”, based in Vienna, in many human rights files and climate protection.
According to the announcement, the Austrian minister will wrap up his trip to Korea on Wednesday, marking the 130th anniversary of the beginning of Austrian-Korean relations.

It is noteworthy that since last year, when they were elevated to the status of “strategic partnership,” when there was good coordination in the fight against the pandemic, bilateral relations between Austria and the Republic of Korea have seen a notable improvement.

It is noteworthy that the Austrian minister’s discussions centred on the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and the security situation on the Korean peninsula in light of the Democratic Korea’s missile experiences, in addition to exploring ways to expand economic and political cooperation between the two nations.

Austrian Korea worked together to achieve development and environment goals and prevent the effects of the Ukraine war.
