The picture was disseminated by accounts on social media over the course of the last several hours, and its publishers claimed that it was from the wedding of the daughter of the Ontario state governor to a Syrian refugee from the city of Homs.
The photos included a blonde girl in a white dress, next to her, a brown young man with Arabic features, accompanied by a comment: “A Syrian refugee in Canada comes from the city of Homs kidnapping the heart of the daughter of a ruler and head of the Canadian government of Ontario Doug Ford. ”
Additionally, the images garnered dozens of posts on other Arab pages and thousands of likes.
However, the truth is completely otherwise, as the groom is an Iraqi refugee, a police officer holding the Iraqi and Canadian nationalities, whose name is Muhammad Hadi Kamouna.
The young man wed Kela Ford, the daughter of the Ontario governor, who shared wedding pictures on her Instagram page last month.
The marriage of Kayla Doug Ford to a migrant brings to mind one of the right-wing politician and Conservative Party leader’s remarks during which he addressed the immigrants, stating, “If you believe that you will come to receive the benefits without working and find for another location.”
While the bridegroom backed his uncle’s remarks, arguing that Ford’s approach is reasonable and beneficial to both immigrants and the nation.
