Speaking out against the former president Donald Trump on Sunday, US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stated that he was “not a man enough” to comply with a summons from Congress for him to testify before a special committee looking into his participation in the Capitol attack.
“He is not a man enough, in my opinion, to attend. Due to the fact that he must give a testimony under oath, I don’t think the attorneys will want to go “Pelosi stated in an MSNBC interview.
She reportedly said again, “We’ll see whether a man is enough to attend,” according to Reuters.
Pelosi made her remarks after the selected committee revealed on Friday that it had summoned Trump and given him until November 4 to submit a substantial number of papers pertaining to his activities before and after the vicious attack by his supporters on January 6, 2021.
The committee informed the former US president that it wanted him to attend his testimony on November 14th “or near this date.
“The parliamentary committee may refer the entire case to the Ministry of Justice in the event that he refuses to appear before Congress to testify or to produce the necessary information, which is expected to result in the taking of criminal legal measures against Trump.
Last Monday, the seven Democrats and Republicans agreed unanimously to require the previous Republican President to give a testimony regarding his involvement in riots.
Trump is not a man enough to attend, according to Pelosi.
