An open sports automobile that was stolen 30 years ago was discovered buried in a California castle built by a man who had previously been detained on charges of insurance fraud, attempted insurance fraud, and murder.
The garden organisers in Silicon Valley reportedly found the Mercedes-Benz automobile full with unused concrete bags on Thursday. This is according to the “Sky News” website.
Prior to the present owners purchasing the property, the police suspect that the car was buried in the rear of the house at some point in the 1990s to a depth of 4 or 5 feet.
The automobile was detected in the nearby Palo Alo in September 1992, according to Rick de Gaulia, the mayor of Atherton.
The sprawling house was built with a swimming pool and a tennis court by Johnny Lu, who spent some time behind bars in the 1960s and 1970s.
In 1966, he was found guilty of the murder of a 21-year-old in Los Angeles, but the conviction was overturned two years later.
He was convicted of attempted murder in 1977 and sentenced to three years in jail.
The criminal teams in the car are investigating to search for human remains, because they doubt that the car is linked to a murder..
