Explosions occurred on Saturday and Sunday night in the Al-Omar oil field, which is the largest base for the international coalition fighting ISIS in Syria and is located in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The Syrian Observatory also reported on October 18 that a helicopter from the international coalition targeted its machine guns close to the old airport and the Mount of Workers, which overlooks the neighbourhoods of the city of Deir Al-Zour, where the regime forces and Iranian-aligned militias are stationed. This occurred at the same time as the coalition base’s heavy machine gun fire from a field in Konico Gas North Deir Ezzor.
