Thibu Courtois, the goalkeeper for Real Madrid, gave a special greeting to the Meringue supporters following the Spanish League match against Seville on Saturday.
Courtois was honoured by Real Madrid during a party in the “Santiago Bernabeu” after receiving the Yashin Award as the world’s finest goalkeeper.
Iker Casillas, the legendary former Al-Mirangi goalkeeper, presented Courtois with the Yashin Award as the crowd on the field erupted in jubilation.
Courtois posted a picture of him after receiving the Yashin Award, on his account on the social networking site «Twitter», and wrote: “A great victory in a wonderful night, thanks for sharing the joy of this achievement, if you and my colleagues would not have been possible. ”
It is noteworthy that Real Madrid defeated Seville 3-1, with goals from Fedy Valverde, Lucas Vasquez, and Luka Modric in the fifth, 79th, and 81st minutes.
With Luka Modric and former Real coach Zinedine Zidane present, the superstar Karim Benzema was also honoured and handed the golden ball.
After being honoured, Courtois offers a special message to Real Madrid supporters.
