Auckland celebrates FIFA draw, thrilled to host champions USA

The FIFA Women’s World Cup draw show was exciting, and the event organisers are happy to welcome the world’s best footballers to our own backyard.
Along with the Football Ferns, group-stage matches for Argentina, Italy, Norway, Philippines, Spain, USA, Vietnam, and Zambia will be place in Auckland, according to the event draw on Saturday night.

The director of arts, entertainment, and events at Ttaki Auckland Unlimited, Richard Clarke, says he’s eager to host ardent visitors from all over the world.
We are eager to provide these top-tier teams our manaakitanga, and the significance of last night’s draw is not lost on us.
“These teams will have a significant impact on Auckland.

This is a huge boost for our economy since they bring thousands of followers with them who will all need lodging, food, and transportation while they are here, according to Clarke.
The world champions USA will face Vietnam at Eden Park on July 22 in the opening match of Group E, according to the draw.
Given that the US has one of the largest travelling fan bases, estimated at 40,000, this will be an exciting show.

“This is an amazing opportunity for the more than 220 ethnicities that call Auckland home, and particularly for the young girls and women among them to have these international teams playing here,” Clarke says.
The opening encounter between the Football Ferns and Norway will be one of nine games that Auckland will host at Eden Park, along with five additional group-stage games, a quarterfinal, and a semifinal.

Auckland is excited to host the USA’s champions after the FIFA draw.
