Salva Kiir Mayardit, the president of the Republic of South Sudan, sent a written message to Lieutenant General Abdel-Fattah Al-Burhan, the chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, regarding bilateral relations between the two nations, political developments in Sudan and the State of South Sudan, and the position on implementing the Juba agreement for the peace of Sudan.

President Salva Kiir indicated in the letter that he would visit Sudan as soon as feasible, according to a statement from the Sovereign Council media.
For his part, the proof, upon his meeting today, adviser to the President of the Republic of South Sudan for Security Affairs, Tuttak, who delivered the message to the great efforts made by the State of South Sudan to achieve peace and stability in Sudan.

Al-Burhan reaffirmed that his nation is completely eager to put the peace accord negotiated in Juba into effect and finish the file of security arrangements. The head of the Sovereign Council emphasised the importance of establishing committees to address the problems in the Abyei region in order to advance social harmony, stability, and security in the area.

Tuttakhk, for his part, noted in a statement that the meeting covered political developments in southern Sudan and Sudan. He added that because Sudan is a signatory to the Southern Southern Agreement, he had updated the president of the Sovereign Council on the status of the agreement.
