The German Minister of Economy receives a hydrogen load as an experience from the Emirates

At the Hamburg headquarters of the copper company “European,” German Economy Minister Robert Habik opened a symbolic gas faucet on Friday to welcome the first trial supply of hydrogen from the United Arab Emirates.

This shipment serves as an introduction to other shipments that Habek agreed to during a trip to the Gulf nations in the spring of this year. This shipment is a test of the experimental operation to establish the hydrogen transport chain between Germany and the United Arab Emirates.
More than ever, we must increase the flow of hydrogen.
Habik added that in Germany a special production of “green” hydrogen is created, “but of course we need to import hydrogen.

Future production of “green” hydrogen should make it possible to stop using fossil fuels for industrial manufacturing.
Sultan Al-Jaber emphasised that his nation has made significant investments in the advancement of hydrogen technology and that it intends to do so in the future with its German allies.
Habik signed several partnerships in Abu Dhabi in mid -March to create a comprehensive value of hydrogen value between Germany and the United Arab Emirates.

The first test to be supplied from the Emirates is still referred to as blue hydrogen, which is produced using natural gas rather than renewable energy like “green” hydrogen.
The National Petroleum Company supplied the hydrogen, which was transported by HHLA for logistical support for Hamburg Port in the form of a hydrogen ammonia derivative.
Ammonia is simpler, more effective, and less expensive to store and transport than hydrogen.

The Emirates give the German Minister of Economy a hydrogen cargo as a gift.
