The American authorities keep commercial fees on Russian steel

The Russian and a few other countries’ steel products are subject to commercial levies, which the American Federal International Trade Committee assessed and agreed to keep.
The steel tariffs were retained from Australia, Britain, the Netherlands, South Korea, Turkey, and Japan, according to a statement the committee released on Friday.
Raising the barriers to combat dumping in the steel industry “would probably result in harm,” according to the committee, to American business.

The committee also resolved to increase the tariffs on steel imported from Brazil since it believed that these supplies wouldn’t have a negative impact on the American economy.
