Prior to facing Seville at nine o’clock in the evening in the 11th round of the La Liga competition at the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti of Italy took a significant blow.
Real Madrid issued a medical statement in which he said, “After the examinations that were conducted today on our Benzema player by Real Madrid’s medical services, it showed that he had muscle stress in the quadruple thigh of the left leg . . . awaiting developments.
According to the Spanish publication “Marca,” Karim Benzema was left off the match list against the Andalusian club due to a feeling of muscle strain and his concern of being exposed to a further setback. He will not play this evening against Seville.
The newspaper added that the exclusion of Karim Benzema will extend to Leipzig next Tuesday, in the fifth round of the Champions League group stage, as a precautionary measure and will be ready to face Girona next Sunday, in the 12th round of the La Liga competition.
It is important to note that Real Madrid is in first place in the Spanish league with 28 points, 3 points ahead of Barcelona in second place.
Benzema won’t be playing for Real Madrid today in the Spanish League matchup versus Seville.
