Opinion: UK’s leadership woes causing damage for whole country

If the implications weren’t so dire, UK politics has been going through a vertiginous period.
Two prime ministers and two monarchs have taken office in the less than two months that I have been covering Europe.
Many individuals, who already have a ton of worry as winter approaches, have found the shift in leadership to be extremely upsetting.

Nearly everyone I’ve spoken to, whether it be on the street, while getting coffee, at a park, or over dinner, is concerned about the rising cost of electricity and food costs. Some have mentioned getting loans and getting into debt in order to make ends meet during the coming few months.
In order to stay open and pay the bills, even my son’s nursery must raise money and modify its hours for the first time in its 40-year existence.

And while the British people are suffering, their politicians are in disarray.
Their prime minister has lasted just 45 days on the job, and the same people who elected her are the same people entrusted to pick the next leader, too..

Opinion: The UK’s leadership issues are hurting the entire nation.
