Juergen Klopp, the coach of Liverpool, has acknowledged that he decided to change his team’s style of play in order to get better results.
Due to the inconsistency of his team, particularly in defence, Klopp switched from the 3/3/3 technique to the 4/4/2 method. This alteration helped the team resume its winning ways, as they won four of their last five games.
On Friday, Klopp was cited as stating, “The stability and the closure of the places we left open in previous weeks, not purposefully, but that happened.”
We have played with a particular system and in a particular method for a very long period, and as you become used to things, you lose some interest in the subtleties, he continued.
“Small things might change a lot since things were well-organized regarding our defence or pressure strategy.
“Due to this, we needed to make a shift in order to begin strategizing as a group in a new way. It is in reality not a big difference, a slight change in responsibility,” Klopp concluded by saying..
