According to his club, French international Karim Benzema, the greatest player in the world for the year 2022, will miss today’s Spanish League encounter between Real Madrid and Seville due to a thigh ailment.
The striker who won the Golden Ball award on Monday contributed to keeping his club in first place in the league rankings by scoring against Elche on Wednesday, but he won’t be fit to play in the Seville game at the “Santiago Bernabeu” stadium.
Real Madrid, the European and Spain champion, released a statement saying, “After the examinations conducted by Benzema today (Saturday), the tests showed that he has muscle exhaustion in the left thigh.”
