Al -Seib gives the Sultanate of Oman the first continental title

News from Al-Madinah: On Saturday, the Sib Club of the Sultanate of Oman won the AFC Cup after defeating Kuala Lumpur City of Malaysia (3-0) at the National Pokers Stadium. This was the first continental trophy in the club’s history.
The AFC Cup is the second club level in the continent after the AFC Champions League, and it started in 2004 when its title was won by the Syrian army.

Ali Al -Busaidi recorded a corner kick that the goalkeeper made a mistake by removing it (22), Abdul Aziz Al -Maqbali from a header inside the area after a cross from Salah Al -Yahya (37) and Mohsen Al -Ghassani when he dodged the defense and launched a strong left in the net (69).
Al-Seib joined the list of champions alongside the Iraqi Air Force (3 championships), ahead of the Jordanian Al-Faisaly and the Bahraini Al-Muharraq (2).

The men of coach Rashid Jaber, the Omani league champions twice, deprived Kuala Lumpur City from granting the second title to Malaysia, after “Johur Al -Taghmiya” was crowned with a 2015 version.
Al-Seeb, who competed in the championship for the first time, received the first group ranking after two wins over Jableh Al-Suri (1-0), the Lebanese crowd (4-0), and a loss to Kuwaiti Kuwait (1-2) in the first round.

Al-Seeb outperformed the Bahraini Riffa final by a score of 4-0 before defeating Al-Arabi Al-Kuwaiti 2-1 in the semifinal of the West Asian region.
Al-Seeb had two coaches on his road to the championship; the first was the Serbian Boris Puniac, who resigned after the group stage, and the second was the Roman Elie Stan, who lasted just one game against Al-Arabi in the West region final before being replaced by Rashid Jaber.

The Sultanate of Oman receives the first continental championship from Al-Seib.
