A Palestinian was killed by the Israeli army fire in the occupied West Bank

According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, an Israeli soldier’s gunfire on Saturday killed a Palestinian in the northern West Bank.
The victim was identified by the ministry as Rabi Arafa Rabi, 32. The ministry noted that the deceased had been shot in the head and had been taken to the Darwish Government Hospital in Qalqilya. He was later martyred as a result of his injuries.

“Three individuals attempted to enter Israel illegally using a car, according to the Israeli army.
“Troops are in the vicinity,” he continued, “who stopped the car to search it, but they bolted and shocked a soldier,” adding that the soldiers fired shots in their direction.
This occurs amid acute tension between Palestinians and Israeli security forces, particularly in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which Israel has occupied since 1967.

An Israeli national was seriously hurt after being attacked in East Jerusalem earlier on Saturday, according to Israeli police.
The injured man is a pious Jew in his thirties, according to Israeli media.
The police further stated that following the assault, the suspect fled but later became “neutral,” i.e., was shot by police officers in the Palestinian area of Sheikh Jarrah.
The police did not indicate additional information about the identity of the attacker or his condition.

The Hebrew state forces increased their operations after brutal attacks against Israeli targets in March and April, which led to increased tension in the northern occupied West Bank, particularly in the Nablus and Jenin districts, which are two strongholds of the armed Palestinian groups.

The United Nations reports that more than 100 Palestinians have died as a result of these raids, which are frequently punctuated by conflicts with the Palestinian populace. This is the highest death toll in the West Bank in almost 7 years.
