Steven Gerrard out as manager of Premier League club Aston Villa

After a 3-0 loss against Fulham this morning, Steven Gerrard’s time as manager of Aston Villa came to an end.
Gerrard claimed Villa “After the loss at Craven Cottage, he immediately departed the club.
The announcement came soon after the former England and Liverpool midfielder vowed to continue playing despite the club’s supporters calling for his dismissal.
“It’s difficult, he said to Amazon Prime. “I’m a male, I accept it, and I’m frustrated because I understand their frustration. My personal night was difficult.

“We’ll have to wait and see. I’m a fighter, and whether it’s football or life, I’ll never, ever give up.
In its last 22 Premier League games under Gerrard dating back to March, Villa only achieved four victories.
After the defeat at Fulham, it was level on points with 18th-place Wolves, one spot above the relegation zone.
Villa said in a succinct statement, “We would like to thank Steven for his hard work and commitment and wish him well for the future.

The Liverpool great was hired last November in a Premier League return that many expected would eventually lead to the manager’s role back at Liverpool, where he played 710 matches — many as captain — and is widely regarded as one of its best players.
The 42-year-old Gerrard joined Villa following a 32-year career in Scottish soccer, where as Rangers’ first-ever head coach, he turned around their fortunes and put a stop to Glasgow rival Celtic’s long-standing domination.

Villa placed 14th in previous season’s standings.
After spending 112 seasons with the LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer, the former England midfielder, who played 17 seasons with Liverpool, announced his retirement from the game in 2016.
Brendan Rodgers, Gerrard’s former Liverpool manager, expressed sorrow.
Naturally, Gerrard was coached by Rodgers at Liverpool.
“I’m bitterly disappointed for Steven, he did a fantastic job at Rangers and the ambitions at Villa, I assume, are to be challenging for Europe,” he said.

I think he could have reached the goals of the football team with some time and effort.

Aston Villa’s Steven Gerrard is no longer their manager in the Premier League.
