South Korea president requests Sisi’s support for his country’s companies operating in Egypt

President Siuk Yol of South Korea called President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi of Egypt to discuss ways for the two nations to cooperate and to persuade Sisi to support South Korean businesses doing business in Egypt.

“Since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1995, the two countries have been steadfastly developed in a mutual cooperation relationship,” the president of South Korea said in a phone call with Sisi.

The South Korean climate ambassador, Na Kyung-Won, will attend the United Nations Conference on Climate Change (COP27), which will be held in Egypt later this month, as a private presidential sponsor, he noted. He emphasised that “he will actively cooperate to effectively host the conference.”
Al-Sisi emphasised that collaboration between the two nations “extends to areas like nuclear power plants as well as infrastructure.

Al-Sisi declared that he “actively welcomes” the admission of South Korean businesses with cutting-edge technology into the Egyptian market in the areas of hydrogen energy, the green economy, electric vehicles, and shipbuilding.
