On October 20, 2022, the Saskatchewan Health Authority gave its approval for Andrew Will to be named CEO.
Will formerly held the post of vice-president of Information, Infrastructure, and Support and was serving in that capacity temporarily.
“The board can see that Andrew is the best applicant. He has decades of demonstrated executive leadership experience in large care health organizations.
Through this experience, he has demonstrated his ability to create a solid organisational culture that puts a priority on helping individuals and teams perform to their highest potential for the clients we serve, according to SHA board chair Arlene Wiks.
He is aware of how important it is to have access to high-quality care as near to home as feasible because he grew up in rural Saskatchewan. ”

Combating the scarcity of medical professionals and ensuring that the province’s healthcare providers feel supported are the SHA’s current top goals.
Will said, “We are aware that our efforts will be concentrated on the Health Human Resources action plan to recruit and retain, train and motivate our team members so that we have the people needed to serve healthcare and communities throughout the province. This is done through the supports the government has put in place.
The province recently unveiled the Health Human Resources action plan, which would devote $60 million to efforts to find, keep, and train medical professionals.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority approves Andrew Will’s appointment as the next CEO.
