Saleh and Al -Mashri agree on the implementation of the Libyan sovereign positions agreement

They agreed to “implement the outputs of a path in Bouznika related to sovereign positions within the coming weeks, provided that the end of the year does not exceed in all cases,” according to a statement released after the meeting held in the Moroccan capital by Aqeela Saleh, Speaker of the Libyan Parliament, and Khaled Al-Mashri, Speaker of the Supreme Council of State.

In September 2020, the opposing parties in Libya came to an agreement to allocate sovereign positions and a truce during a meeting in Bouznika, which is roughly 40 kilometres south of Rabat.
A statement of Saleh and Al -Mashri also called for “the resumption of the dialogue in order to carry out what is necessary to hold presidential and parliamentary elections according to clear legislation, by harmony between the two councils.

The two councils also decided to “continue their consultation with relation to the aforementioned files in the Kingdom of Morocco.

Saleh and Al-Mashri concur on the execution of the agreement on the sovereign stances of Libya.
