Russia: Western weapons for Ukraine end in the hands of extremists around the world

Russia said Thursday that the advanced weapons that the West provides Ukraine are making its way to the black market and then to the hands of extremist and criminal groups in the Middle East, Central Africa and Asia.
Western nations have delivered a number of weapons to Ukraine in an effort to aid it in fending off Russian forces since Russia began its military incursion in Ukraine on February 24.

According to Maria Zakharova, a spokesperson for the Russian foreign ministry, at least 700 artillery systems, 80,000 missile systems, 800,000 artillery shells, and 90 million rounds of ammunition were transferred to Ukraine by NATO member nations.
She stated to Moscow reporters: “A sizable portion of these weapons have already entered or will do so shortly. This is a problem that the world community is currently confronting.” But she did not mention any evidence of her assurances.

The Middle East, Central Africa, and Southeast Asia are destinations for NATO military shipments that end up in the hands of terrorists, extremists, and criminal organisations.
Although Moscow has not specified where the weapons would end up, Russia has long warned that the weaponry aimed at Ukraine could find their way into the hands of criminals.
In a related context, Zakharova claimed that the European Union is involved in the crisis in Ukraine as a result of the advanced weapons it gave Kyiv.
