Today, on Friday, the Italian Presidential Palace declared that Georgia Meloni’s radical right-wing policies would constitute the country’s next administration.
Meloni led her party, “Brothers of Italy”, to obtain the most votes in the elections that took place last month, and is now preparing to form a coalition that includes the right -wing extremist League, and the Italian Foreza party “Italy” from the right of the center.
At 10:00 in the morning tomorrow, Saturday (0800 GMT), Meloni and her cabinet members will take the constitutional oath, making her Italy’s first female prime minister. Meloni has already advanced on the list of her cabinet members.
Meloni declared her government was prepared to begin operations right away during a conversation she had with President Sergio Mattarella following their meeting.
Media sources claim that since the elections, there have been disagreements inside the coalition on the distribution of cabinet seats.
Meloni has been tasked with forming Italy’s next administration.
