Kuwaiti official: There is no stop for trips between Kuwait and Lebanon because of cholera

There are no directives to prohibit flights to or from Lebanon owing of the sharp increase in cholera injuries, according to Youssef Al-Fawzan, Director of the General Administration of Civil Aviation at Kuwait International Airport.

“In the event of any health procedures followed to stop flying and prevent travellers coming from Lebanon, the General Administration of Civil Aviation does not take the action except according to a decision by the Council of Ministers based on health recommendations,” the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Rai quoted as saying on its website.

The Ministry of Health reaffirmed its unwavering dedication to countermeasures and preventative actions against “cholera” and other affected conditions, whether they originate in Lebanon or other nations.
The director of the Department of infection and sterilization at the Ministry, Dr. Ahmed Al -Mutawa, said in a press statement that in the event of any symptoms of arrivals from Lebanon or any other country, they are pursued medically according to the protocols in force..

According to a Kuwaiti official, cholera prevents travel between Kuwait and Lebanon.
