In the twelfth round of the Premier League games for the current season 2022-2023, British defender Rio Ferdinand stood by Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo after he departed the Manchester United game against Tottenham. Spurs won that game with two goals that were scored cleanly.
The Portuguese Don Cristiano Ronaldo left the “Old Trafford” stadium in the 90th minute of Manchester United’s game against Tottenham as an outburst of his frustration about not using it during the game.
Before the game began, the cameras and photographic lenses saw Ronaldo making an angry escape for the locker room.
In comments noted by the British “Daily Mail,” Rio Ferdinand remarked.
“It is not justice for anyone, neither for the club, nor for Ronaldo, nor for Tin Hag,” continued Ferdinand. “This is the first question asked after every game (Why didn’t Ronaldo start?)”
“It is logical for a player like Ronaldo to be angry because there is no role in the team in an important match like the team fought against Tottenham,” said former Manchester United defender.
“I don’t know what the future holds, but Tin Hag needs to reflect carefully before the forthcoming Chelsea game and choose the proper player,”
Rio Ferdinand insisted: “Tin Hag must allow Ronaldo the freedom to leave and amend his contract if he does not see that he is a crucial player in his team.
” “Ronaldo should have been allowed to leave in the summer if Tin Hag knew that Ronaldo would not choose in the starting lineup, although there is no concrete offers for the player during the transfer period,” said Ferdinand.
The baffling part, in my opinion, is why Manchester United did not abandon him since Tin Hag knows that Ronaldo is not wanted in his plans, the former Manchester United defender emphasised.
Ferdinand: Tin Hag should allow Ronaldo to depart because he does not view him as a crucial player.
