The Washington Post newspaper claimed today, Friday, citing reliable sources, that some documents found by the Federal Bureau of Investigation during the investigation of former US President Donald Trump’s Florida home in August contained highly sensitive intelligence data regarding Iran and China.
According to the article, the documents are among the most important ones among the materials discovered by the Federal Bureau of Investigation there. They include classified documents on the specifics of intelligence work regarding China, at least one of which relates to Iran’s missile program.
The newspaper quoted experts as saying that the disclosure of the information contained in these documents would result in many risks, including exposing people who help US intelligence at risk and undermine the efforts to collect information. The Ministry of Justice investigates if Trump broke the law when he transferred government records, including over 100 secret documents, to his Florida real estate after resigning from his position in January 2021.
The ministry also examines whether Trump or his aides obstructed justice when the Federal Bureau of Investigation dispatched agents to search his house and issues a warning that possibly more secret documents will turn up.
