British Finance Minister: We will do the necessary to reduce debts

Today, Friday, British Finance Minister Jeremy Hunt reiterated the government’s commitment to taking “all essential steps to decrease debt in the medium term.”
In a statement, Hunt said, “We will take all necessary steps to decrease debts over the long term, ensure good use of taxpayer funds, and put public finances on a sustainable course while we expand the economy.
“The good public finances are the foundation of the solid economy,” he continued.

I made it very clear that in order to maintain market stability, we must make difficult decisions in order to safeguard our public funds.
This happened a day after Prime Minister Liz Terrace announced her resignation, ending the shortest tenure of any British prime minister. She did this because her economic agenda had damaged the nation’s reputation for financial stability and had raised poverty rates.
