Beaks Chicken returns to Regina after difficult two years

Everyone like fried chicken, right? That is the query at Regina’s Beaks Chicken, which has just welcomed customers back after a trying two years.
The fried chicken restaurant was originally opened back in 2013 by Chef Paul Rogers on 11th Avenue, but has since moved to a new location on Dewdney Avenue.
As many local businesses did, Beaks Chicken closed its doors as the COVID-19 pandemic struck.

Instead, the business changed over to a food truck, where they competed and set up shop at various Regina spots.
When the newly constructed facility was inundated with water, they were all prepared to reopen in a brand-new, permanent site.
“It was rough,” said Beaks Chicken head cook Tayden Thompson Gray. There was a lot of material we had to get rid of, as well as a lot of inventory.

The store is now once again open for business after two years of waiting and two months of cleanup.
It’s encouraging to know that folks held out and awaited our return. I’m glad to know that there is still a need for chicken.
Breanne Colins, a former customer who is now an employee, claimed that the community was one of the things that initially drew her to the job.
Colins proclaimed, “I’ve never had a better job.

“This place has a wonderful ambience, it’s excellent. The pace of life in the community is really fast-paced and joyful.
Gray and Colins both agree that the Honey Hab chicken sandwich is their favourite dish on the menu.
Gray remarked, “I really enjoy spicy cuisine, and the honey hab has a good kick to it. Its size is appropriate, and it functions flawlessly.

Despite how challenging the past two years have been for the business, Gray expressed how incredibly delighted he is to be able to serve chicken to Regina once more.
All of it is created in-house, Gray claimed. We put a lot of thought and effort into our food.
“I think people are pretty thrilled we are open and running. There is a lot of buzz about it being open again.”

After a challenging two years, Beaks Chicken returns to Regina.
