An Iraqi official reveals his country’s interest in buying Russian technology

Aziz Nazim Abd, the director general of the ministry of industry and minerals’ industrial development department, emphasised the desire of Iraqi businesses to strengthen ties with Russian businesses in the area of technology transfer.

The Iraqi official discussed the potential for cooperation between Russian and Iraqi businesses in an interview with RT on the sidelines of his participation in the “Made in Russia” forum today. He said that Iraqi businesses can import Russian technology in order to consolidate their industries there or work alongside Russian businesses on joint projects.

The Director General of the Industrial Development Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Industry and Minerals explained the objectives of his participation in the forum, saying that it aims to see Russian technology and solidify the initial relationships with Russian companies in the fields that may concern Baghdad.

The International Export Forum “Made in Russia” opened its programmes and events today in Moscow with the intention of introducing foreign businesses to Russian goods and their benefits.
During the event, the required steps to promote Russian exporters will be discussed, as well as the new opportunities available for Russian brands, particularly for goods made in Russia, and the processes of Russia’s external economic cooperation in the current geopolitical environment.
