A senior from Kelowna, British Columbia, is defying his advancing years. Herb Reimche, who is 105 years old, is still going strong.
Reimche explores the city he has lived in since 1939 by riding his scooter almost daily.
“I don’t really have much else I can do. I manage with a scooter; it’s my way of life, claimed Reimche.
He used to ride alone until his 80-year-old daughter acquired her own scooter last year.
I’ve never employed one.

Twyla Gimbel, Reimche’s daughter, stated, “I drive a car, but I’ve never used one of these, so it took a little getting used to, but now it’s pleasant and I’m always delighted to be able to travel with my dad.”
The two attempt to ride together every day, and occasionally this involves observing aircraft take off.
We frequently stroll around the parks there, along the streets, by Mission Creek, and next to the airport. I’ll go almost anyplace the spirit takes me,” Reimche stated.

Gimbel claims that her father has led a very active life, managing his own dairy farm, building homes, and working at the Kelowna General Hospital. The two are still working together today.
“He loves to get out and if I go someplace he comes with me or when we’re scootering we’re together, so it’s just a special time together,” Gimbel said.
The pair is well known in the Rutland neighbourhood, but when they reveal their ages to others, everyone is invariably taken aback.

Reimche claims that while there are a few things he stands by, he does not possess the key to perpetual youth.
He stated, “I have my faith, I have my family, and they are all nice kids, so I have nothing to worry about them, and the rest comes along.”
Simply take your time, exit, and scoot.

Dad, 105, of Kelowna, British Columbia, and daughter, 80, aren’t letting getting older slow them down.
