The European Parliament seeks a greater budget due to the Ukraine war

Due of Russia’s war in Ukraine, the European Parliament proposes to boost the budget for the European Union for the upcoming year.
In response to the effects of the war in Ukraine, the budget includes an additional 850 million euros (830 million dollars), according to a parliamentary statement released today, Wednesday.
The budget will reach a total of 187. 3 billion euros, which also includes money for humanitarian assistance or the European Defense Fund, for example.

In order to address the energy and health issues and protect the environment, the European Parliament intends to spend more than 1. 7 billion euros of the budget that the European Commission has proposed.
The plan opens the door for three weeks of negotiations with the member nations of the European Union.
The blocs desire a budget that is less than 184 billion.
