Russia: We will not close our embassy in Europe

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Jegini Ivanov stressed that his nation will not impose any limits on leaving the country while stating that Moscow will not close its missions in Europe or reduce the number of diplomats there.

The number of Russian diplomats in Europe is already declining, and there are some European nations where there is only one Russian ambassador. According to Ivano, there is no talk of increasing the Russian Federation’s diplomatic presence in Western nations, and there is only one scenario in which doing so would require the complete closure of all consulates there. This scenario is not feasible.

Specifically in Asia, the Association of Independent Countries, and Africa, he noted, diplomats will be re-directed to friendly nations with shared objectives. This proclamation was made in response to President Vladimir Putin’s pronouncement that the popular provinces of Donetsk, Logansk, Zaburoje, and Khairsson had been declared to be at war.

We won’t close down our embassy in Europe, Russia
