RCMP use spike belt, K9 unit to catch suspect in stolen truck on Sturgeon Lake First Nation

A complaint that a stolen truck had been seen on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation in Saskatchewan prompted the Prince Albert RCMP to respond on Monday. According to an investigation, the driver may have been involved in robberies and other crimes throughout the weekend.
As soon as they arrived, the police set up a spike belt and disabled the truck.
The driver sprang from the car and ran off on foot. Prince Albert Police Dog Services helped find him and make an arrest.

Thirty-year-old Joshua Naytowhow of Sturgeon Late First Nation has been charged with resisting arrest, robbery with firearm, pointing a firearm, uttering threats, failure to stop a motor vehicle while being pursued by a peace officer, possession of weapon while prohibited, and possession of weapon contrary to order.
Additionally, the RCMP in Prince Albert had issued a warrant for Naytowhow’s arrest.

On Sturgeon Lake First Nation, RCMP employ a spike belt and K9 unit to apprehend the suspect driving a stolen truck.
