Policyki: Extension of the grain deal will depend on its practical results

According to Dmitry Polleski, Russia’s deputy representative to the UN, the agreement to export grains from Ukraine through the Black Sea corridors will be extended based on how well it works in practise.
“We will look at the practical results (of the grain deal) and not to attempts to present the desired as if it is real,” Poliannski told reporters in the wake of a closed session of the UN Security Council on the issue of the alleged supplies of Iranian drones to Russia.

The “practical outcomes are meagre so far,” he noted.
He continued by saying that Russia is “not convinced” that the grain export agreement has to be extended and that the key concern remains the sale of Russian food and fertiliser.
The extension of the export of Ukrainian grains, which was agreed upon in Istanbul last July, is still being discussed, the United Nations stated earlier on Wednesday.

The agreement between Russia, the UN, Turkey, and Ukraine calls for the export of Ukrainian food through secure Black Sea routes while removing limitations on the sale of Russian food and fertiliser.

Policyki: The success of the grain agreement will determine if it is extended.
