Nunez scores again as Liverpool pip West Ham in Premier League

Just in time for the World Cup, Darwin Nez is beginning to find his scoring touch in his debut season at Liverpool.
The Uruguayan striker has now scored in three of his last four games, which is his greatest scoring streak since moving to Liverpool from Benfica. He scored in the first half of this morning’s 1-0 victory over West Ham in the Premier League.

Nez is shown his versatility by scoring a variety of goals. In the 22nd minute, he rose above opponents to rise and tip in a beautiful header from a left-wing cross by Kostas Tsimikas.
Three days after defeating Manchester City by the same score on a considerably more intense occasion, Liverpool returned to Anfield and scored another 1-0 victory. However, Nez also hit the post with a dipping shot in the first half.

The Liverpool defender Joe Gomez’s clumsy bump into Jarrod Bowen’s back gave West Ham their best opportunity to tie the score as the referee called a penalty after a pitchside review.
Alisson Becker of Liverpool blocked Bowen’s attempt to take the penalty kick himself after he stood up.
It concluded Liverpool’s busy week. Since the 3-2 loss to Arsenal on October

9, the club led by Jurgen Klopp defeated Rangers 7-1 in the Champions League and won consecutive Premier League games.
With the victory, Liverpool moved up to seventh position, 11 points off of first-place Arsenal.

As Liverpool defeat West Ham in the Premier League, Nunez scores once more.
