Kitchener removing unhealthy trees in downtown core

On Wednesday, anyone in downtown Kitchener might have seen that city workers were cutting down several trees on King Street.
According to a Kitchener spokesman, the city is removing sick trees from the downtown area while they are working on other projects.
As more work is done in the region, they claimed the trees will be restored by the spring of 2023.

The replacement of downtown trees and pavers is expected to take place between Benton and Joseph streets in the spring of 2019.
