The Swiss Public Prosecution announced on Thursday that it has chosen to appeal the verdict to exonerate former FIFA President Sib Sep Blatter and Frenchwoman Michelle Platini in a case involving fraud.
According to the statement, the Public Prosecution “asked the full elimination of the preliminary ruling” in an appeal statement that was delivered to the Federal Criminal Court’s Court of Appeal during the relevant time frame.
The Public Prosecution said that it won’t provide any additional information on this matter.
