Constant pressure .. America targets a Russian military purchasing network

The United States imposed new sanctions on Russia on Wednesday in an effort to put more pressure on Moscow in light of its military operation in Ukraine. The sanctions were directed at a network that Washington claims is buying military and dual-use military technologies from American companies and selling them to Russian users.

According to Reuters, the US Treasury announced that it had slapped penalties on Yuri Yorrevich Orekhaf, a Russian citizen who had accused him of being a buying agent, and two of his enterprises.
While Wali Adimo, the deputy minister of the Treasury, noted that due to the sanctions and export limitations put in place by the allies, Moscow was finding it more and more difficult to obtain the “production inputs and technologies” required for its war.

In a statement, he further stated: “We know that these efforts had a direct influence on the battlefield, because Russia’s feeling of despair drove her to turn to outdated equipment and utilise suppliers of lower quality products.”

It is noteworthy that Western nations, particularly the United States, have imposed thousands of severe sanctions on Moscow since the beginning of the Russian military operation on Ukrainian territory on February 24. These sanctions affected all facets of the political and economic system as well as politicians, ministers, and wealthy Russian ministers.

Additionally, the US booked almost $ 600 million in American banks with Russian authorities, which made it impossible for the first time for the US to pay its foreign debts.
In addition, the assets of the central bank were extended, to prevent it from using its foreign exchange reserves of $ 630 billion, and the main banks were isolated from the international financial correspondence system “Swift”..
