According to the Spanish publication “Mundo Deportivo,” Barcelona’s attempt to replace midfielder Sergio Busquets with another player has failed.
At the conclusion of the current campaign, Busquets’ contract with Barcelona expires, and the most likely outcome is that he leaves the club if he so chooses.
According to a Spanish tabloid, Barcelona has decided to sign the Chelsea midfielder to take Busquets’ place at Camp Nou, either in January if a suitable price is offered, or at the end of the current campaign. Despite Georginho’s contract expiring, the transfer will not be simple. when the current season has ended.
Georginho’s agent, Joao Santos, said that the player wants to stay with Chelsea even though he intends to extend his contract with the London club for the first time.
The newspaper also stated that Chelsea intended to make an offer with a comparable wage for the player who is presently making 120,000 pounds per week but wants to climb to 150,000.
