Because of the “El Clásico” .. imposing a penalty on Laporta, President of Barcelona

After his team fell 1-3 to its host and longtime rival Real Madrid on Sunday in the Spanish Football League, Barcelona president Joan Laporta stormed the referees’ changing rooms, incurring a fine of 602 euros ($593).

With two clean goals scored by the Frenchman Karim Benzema and the Uruguayan Federico Valverde, the riyal advanced in the first half. However, Barcelona’s hopes of returning to the match were revived after he cut the deficit with 7 minutes remaining in the original time in order to carry Ferran Torres’ signature.
Real Madrid was awarded a penalty kick after Barcelona’s Eric Garcia, a defender for the Catalan squad, brought down Real Madrid’s Brazilian attacker Rodrigo within the penalty area, thanks to technology used by the assistant video referee (Var).

Rodrigo successfully carried out the penalty kick, recording the third goal for Real, to eliminate Barcelona’s chances of seizing the draw point (Spanish El Clásico), which took place at the (Santiago Bernabeu) stadium, the stronghold of the royal team.
Laporta confronted referee Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez in the locker room following the game because of Barcelona’s defeat.

The Competition Committee imposed a fine on Laporta on Wednesday, where it was based on the text of Article No. 133 of the Discipline Law, which relates to non -compliance with orders, as well as Article 255, which stipulates the imposition of penalties on any individual who breaks the changing room of referees.
With Barcelona’s loss, the team dropped to second position in the Spanish league standings, 3 points behind Real, who took the lead by themselves.

This defeat was a further setback for Barcelona, whose chances of reaching the Champions League elimination rounds were already dimmed by Wednesday’s depressing 3-3 draw with Italian visitor Inter.
