The UAE provides humanitarian aid to Ukraine worth $ 100 million

The president of the Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, ordered the delivery of additional humanitarian relief aid to Ukrainian people affected by the situation in Ukraine in the amount of $100 million.

According to Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation Affairs, this additional aid is part of the UAE’s ongoing efforts to lessen the humanitarian effects of the Ukrainian crisis and stems from the President of the State’s belief in the value of human solidarity, particularly in situations of war and conflict.

She emphasised that in response to the UNHCR’s appeal and the regional response strategy for refugees from Ukraine, the nation had recently provided comparable relief assistance to the crisis-affected Ukrainian civilians as well as its use of aircraft to transport aid to refugees in Poland and Moldova.

The UAE offers $100 million in humanitarian help to Ukraine.
