The history and civilization of the Islamic East .. A new historical encyclopedia of Abdul Hamid Hammouda

Recently, Dr. Abdul Hamid Hussein Hamouda, professor of Islamic history and dean of the faculty of arts at Fayoum University, published a complete encyclopaedia on the history of the Islamic East and its culture on the Cultural Publishing House in Cairo (formerly).

This encyclopaedia is the first to be published in Arabic that covers the history of Islamic nations in all political, administrative, economic, social, and cultural aspects as well as their international ties with the Abbasid Caliphate and other nations, according to the author. It includes significant scientific information that has been supported by sources, references, and contemporary investigations.

The encyclopedia’s objective is to thoroughly discuss a few enigmatic and significant topics. There is a glaring gap in the Arab Library, which now urgently requires a comprehensive scholarly work that examines the history and civilisation of the Islamic East. He raised new topics stating the researchers in selecting topics for master’s and doctoral theses and topics for promotion research to the degree of a professor or assistant professor.
