Schroeder is looking to return to Lakers faster than expected

After undergoing the thumb finger procedure, German basketball player Dennis Schroeder stated he intends to return to the arenas and play with his team, the Luis Angeles Lakers, in the American Basketball League sooner than anticipated.
Schroeder stated: “I would like to create a record and return to the basic formation as soon as feasible” in statements to the German News Agency (dpa) on Tuesday evening.

“Schroeder, the captain of the German national basketball team, underwent surgery on his right thumb on Monday after suffering an injury during a preseason game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Schroeder missed the American Professional Basketball League’s opening game of the new season, which the Golden State Warriors defeated by a score of 109–123. (Wednesday morning, GMT).

In a statement, Lakers promised that he would review Schroeder’s case in three weeks.
Schroeder joined the Lakers in July on a free transfer, but due to visa issues and his commitment to playing for the German national basketball team in the European Basketball Championship, he missed most of the preseason practise sessions.
The Lakers’ previous season ran from 2020 to 2021.

“Even though I am aware of how much the team depends on me, injuries in sports are unavoidable. I put a lot of effort into getting back to the fundamental formation within two or three weeks and leaving a good impression on the team “.

Schroeder hopes to join the Lakers sooner than anticipated.
