North Korea: We launched artillery shots as a “warning” due to South Korea’s military training

According to the joint staff in Seoul on Wednesday, North Korea launched artillery shells on a buffer zone with South Korea in an effort to ease tension on the Korean Peninsula.
According to the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Pyongyang fired roughly 100 artillery projectiles at the Yellow Sea, according to Yonhap News Agency.
Artillery shells landed in the buffer zones in the east and west, which were created as part of a 2018 deal between the two Koreas to ease military tension.

The commission issued a statement in which it stated: “The firing of artillery shells in the eastern and western buffer zones is a clear violation of the military agreement concluded on September 19, and we strongly urge North Korea to stop its actions immediately.” The commission added: “The continuous North Korean provocations are acts that undermine peace and stability on the Korean peninsula and in the international community.”

North Korea: Because of South Korea’s military education, we fired artillery shots as a “warning.”
