The Black Sand Factory will be inaugurated by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi today in the Egyptian city of Burullus, which is part of the Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate.
The Black Sand Factory in Kafr El-Sheikh, which uses cutting-edge mining technology, is the newest of its kind in the world, according to the spokesman for the Presidency of the Republic. It is regarded as a new addition to the series of major national projects that aim to maximise the benefit and optimal exploitation of Egypt’s natural resources and to achieve the added value of the minerals extracted from the sand Black, which is used in many micro industries and opens the horizon.
With a capital of 4 billion pounds, the Egyptian Company for Black Sand is one of the companies under the National Service Projects Authority. The Nuclear Materials Authority, the National Investment Bank, the Kafr El-Sheikh Governorate, and the Egyptian Mineral Resources Company are all shareholders.
The idea of establishing the company was based on extracting economic minerals from black sand, whether from the surface of the earth or from water and separating it and marketing its products locally and globally, and maximizing the added value of the materials extracted from black sand and converting them into products ready for various industrial operations, instead of marketing them as raw materials, which contributes to payment Egyptian economy wheel.
