After Biden’s gag about “the most dangerous countries” .. Washington confirms its confidence in Pakistan

News from Al-Madinah: President Joe Biden reiterated his concerns about Pakistan’s ability to oversee its nuclear arsenal, prompting Islamabad to recall the American ambassador. On Monday, the United States stated that it has confidence in Pakistan’s ability to do so.
According to State Department spokesperson Fidan Patel, “the United States is confident in Pakistan’s commitment and its ability to control its nuclear weapons.”

“The United States has always valued long-term cooperation with Pakistan, and on a larger scale, the United States values Pakistan’s position as a safe and successful country,” he continued.

“On Thursday, while at a special event honouring California Democratic Party donations, Biden made abrupt comments concerning Pakistan’s nuclear programme. He then moved on to discuss the difficulties facing Chinese President Che Jinping, Pakistan’s close partner.
“Pakistan, which in my opinion is among the most dangerous nations on earth. According to “Al-Arabiya,” Biden warned, “Nuclear weapons without any cohesiveness.

“Following these remarks, Pakistan called Donald Bloom, the US ambassador, to express its displeasure.
Shahbaz Sharif, the prime minister of Pakistan, later stated on Twitter that his country is a “responsible nuclear state,” adding: “We take pride in having the finest guarantees for our nuclear capability. We take these safety precautions very seriously. Nobody has a doubt.

“I discussed the matter with the Prime Minister and called on the US ambassador to take official action,” Pakistani Foreign Minister Bellawal Bhutto Zardari said during a press conference in Karachi. “American officials have long expressed concern about nuclear safety if the political situation in Pakistan, which accuses Washington, has changed its military and intelligence services of providing support to the Taliban.

And when he remarked, “The celebration was not official, it was not a discourse of the nation or a speech before Parliament,” Zardari appeared to give Washington some leeway to explain the comments.
As a result of Biden’s lack of interest in directly conversing with his Pakistani counterparts, Zardari, who just paid a visit to Washington, asked for greater connection.

Patel, however, said that Samantha Power, the head of the United States, and Derek Schullet Zara, an adviser to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, had both visited Pakistan since the country had been devastated by floods.
He declared: “We value this connection highly, and we will keep up our intense involvement in it.

In response to Biden’s remark about “the most hazardous countries,” Washington reiterates its support for Pakistan.
